The Town of Naches is allowing fireworks this year for the last time and is co-sponsoring this event to get the families in Town used to setting off their personal fireworks at Clemans View Park. Cleman’s View will be the only legal place to set off fireworks in the future. Free admission and parking. Main EventsOpening Ceremony, Tuesday, July 3rd, 5:00PM Flag Dedication and Local Military Recognition, Past/Present A 40’ flagpole displaying the American flag at the NW corner of the Clubhouse. Ceremony will be held to dedicate the new flag and honor our troops. Little League Concession Stand to be operated by Naches Lions, pop, ice cream, etc. 50/50 raffle…sold over the 2 days of the Independence Festival with the drawing on Wednesday evening. Public Events: on July 3rd and July 4th Tournaments begin on July 3rd at 4:00 pm and again at 10:00 am July 4th Get your teams together and register early, only a limited number

at dark WHATS NEW AT CLEMANS VIEW PARK: Clemans View Park is the only park in Yakima County that is a non profit 503c managed park. That means all the money to run the park comes from donations and fundraisers. Noone is charged any taxes to cover the running of the park. All of the ball fields are kept up by the volunteers of the Upper Valley Little League Association, and monies collected through annual dues. They have done an outstanding job again this year ! Little League is almost over, but the organization still needs help for the rest of the year. The Club House and Tennis Courts are taken care of by the Clemans View Board and a few volunteers (which we could use a few more of) -- monies are collected through rentals of the Club House and a yearly “Indian Summer Fest” auction. This year we are going to have a “Naches Independence Day Festival” starting on the 3rd of July with a flag pole dedication, games, dunk tank, food and assorted other vendors, and a professional fire works show. On July 4th there’s going to be a horseshoe tournament, 3on3 Basketball, and Jack & Jill softball tournament. The Club House will be serving Walla Walla sweet brats and adult beverages.
