Home > Naches Links > Community Links Flying H Youth Ranch Our residents come to us, between the ages of 14 and 17, from different backgrounds, for a variety of reasons. The required minimum stay is one year. Each is unable, at the time of entry, to function well in his own family; but he must be willing to acknowledge a need for change. We strive to treat the whole person and train him for productive adulthood. The scope of our program attempts to address many of the following current social problems: rebellion to authority, divorced family issues, single parent homes, adoptive families, addictive behaviors, and poor academic achievement. Operating year-round, the goals of the Flying H Ranch are to address these issues while helping young men and their families discover identity, purpose and worth. The dimensions of the treatment provided are: emotional, social, spiritual, vocational, educational, and recreational. We believe that all relationships in each of these areas are affected and enhanced by discovering our deepest meaning and purpose in relationship with Jesus Christ. It is this foundation which will carry young men through all of life’s struggles and successes. Located in the beautiful foothills of Mount Rainier in Washington State, the Flying H Ranch occupies over 400 acres of ranch land. The primary facility houses 24 residents; and the property includes a school, maintenance building, shop, livestock barns, and staff housing. As a working ranch, evidences of crop farming, livestock management, and ongoing construction can be seen throughout the property. Directions: to reach the Flying H Youth Ranch drive west from the
town of Naches on State Route 410, approximately 12 miles. Turn
left onto the Nile Road, cross the bridge, turn left at Carmack
Lane (about 100 yards), and right on the Flying H Loop. Tours are
welcome, but an appointment is recommended. |
