Current number of members: 24, with 3-4 high school reps. Membership is free. Membership entitles a person to attend board meetings and other special meetings with regards to fundraisers. It also entitles them to a vote on all motions. About Naches Dollars for ScholarsWe are a group of citizens who are interested in providing as many scholarships for Naches High School students as possible. In order to raise money for scholarships, we organize and work at fundraisers. We also handle scholarship money from individuals and from groups. We have an awards committee that works hard to distribute this money fairly to applicants in the form of scholarships. Other services are also provided like assistance with completing scholarship applications. Our activities include an annual Community Crab Feed. It always proves to be, not only a fundraiser, but a fun community event. Many people look forward to our Crab Feed each March. In the Spring, we sponsor a Dollars for Scholars Golf Tournament. It also includes a dinner, raffle and auction. We have often sponsored a Fun Night at the Naches Valley High School. This is a fundraiser for Naches Dollars for Scholars, but we also work together with students to put this on. We are always open to other fundraising possibilities. Our regular meetings are always on the third Tuesday of the month. We meet at Margaret's Apple Cart Deli in downtown Naches at noon. Most members attending order their lunch at the deli. We welcome any interested non-members. Community ServicesCommunity services include the fun and social Crab Feed and we tend to make the community aware of supporting our students by encouraging and assisting their continuing education. It is also a service to many individual and group scholarship donors that we handle the informing, the selection, distribution and actual getting the money to the institutions where the students are attending. 2012 FundraisersNaches Dollars for Scholars Annual Crab Feed is March 9th from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the Cleman's View Clubhouse.
